During 2020 & 2021 I had the privilege of working on "Wild Isles", a Landmark series putting British wildlife back in the spotlight!

As a huge British wildlife fan this was a dream series to work on, investing the time and resources into fantastic stories, and narrated by none other than David Attenborough himself!

Over the course of two shoots I had the chance to film Beavers living wild in the Tay catchment of eastern Scotland. Shooting alongside the brilliant John Aitchison we spent countless days and nights embedded next to a beautiful lochan waiting for these elusive animals to emerge, with the aim of capturing their foraging, dam building and ecosystem engineering in action!

Despite their incredibly elusive nature we were able to capture shots of the beavers in action throughout their catchment, utilising 4k camera traps to supplement our long lens footage.

With a focus on further dam building behaviour and underwater remote camera shots in the second year of filming we were able to contribute to a portrait of the lives of these Scottish beavers, thriving in their new environment.

It was an honour to be involved with the series, I'm truly grateful to Chris and the Wild Isles team for having me on board and I will remember those days spent by the loch very fondly!
